The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has released its Summer 2024 Quarterly Solar Industry Update, which highlights global and U.S. supply and demand, module and system price, investment trends, and updates on government programs supporting the solar industry. Key updates include a projection of about 560 GWdc of photovoltaic (PV) installations for 2024, a 55% increase in U.S. solar capacity installation in the first half of 2024 compared to the record in Q1/Q2 2023, and a drop in global factory gate module price by 10% in Q3 of 2024
