Sustainable Power for Aquaculture: TARGET Solar Unveils Tailored PV & Storage Projects in Malaysia

As a global "Investment-Construction-Operation" integrated service provider, Xiamen Lianbang Technology (Brand: TARGET Solar) has successfully commissioned two landmark solar-plus-storage projects for the aquaculture industry in Malaysia. By combining scenario-specific design with extensive overseas experience, we have solved the most critical energy pain points for fish farm owners: power reliability, roof integrity, and cost efficiency.

1. The Challenge: Protecting the Lifeblood of Aquaculture

In Malaysia's fish farming sector, the water pump is the "heart" of the operation. A single power outage can lead to rapid oxygen depletion, causing catastrophic losses. Traditionally, farms relied on the grid, but high electricity tariffs and the risk of blackouts created a need for a more resilient, self-consumption oriented energy model.

2. The Solution: Intelligent "Self-Consumption" with Anti-Backflow

TARGET Solar deployed two customized systems (20kWh and 15kWh) designed around the core principle of "Solar Priority, Battery Balancing, and Grid Backup."

Technical Core: Smart Grid Integration

Unlike traditional systems that focus on feeding surplus power to the grid, these projects are engineered for maximum self-consumption.

PV Anti-Backflow (Anti-Reverse Flow): Equipped with smart meters and high-performance 10kW hybrid inverters, the system actively monitors load demand. It ensures that solar energy is used locally, preventing any "leakage" of electricity back into the utility grid, thus complying with local regulations and avoiding grid-access complexities.

Excess Energy Storage: Instead of wasting unused solar power, the systems capture excess energy storage in high-density 20kWh/15kWh batteries. This stored power is released during the night or during grid failures to keep pumps running 24/7.

Nearby & Multi-Point Grid Connection: To optimize efficiency and reduce transmission loss, we implemented a nearby grid connection strategy. Furthermore, the systems utilize multi-point grid connection based on circuit breaker capacity, allowing for flexible integration into the farm’s existing electrical infrastructure without requiring massive rewiring.

3. Innovative Installation: Lightweight & Drill-Free

The project sites featured color steel tile (metal) roofs, which are notoriously difficult for traditional solar mounts.

The Problem: Traditional drilling leads to leaks and requires expensive structural reinforcement.

The TARGET Solar Solution: We utilized ultra-lightweight PV modules combined with a professional-grade adhesive bonding solution. This achieves a "no-drill, no-reinforcement" effect, significantly shortening the installation cycle and preserving the roof's lifespan—saving the owner significant labor and material costs.

4. Project Highlights & Value Delivery

The success of these Malaysian projects demonstrates the tangible benefits of a well-designed integrated energy system:

Production Continuity: Seamless transition to battery power during outages ensures water pumps never stop, protecting live inventory.

Operational Savings: By prioritizing self-consumption, owners significantly reduce their monthly electricity bills.

Intelligent Management: Real-time data logging provides a 24/7 view of load consumption, PV generation, and storage status.

Flexible Scalability: The multi-point grid connection logic allows the farm to scale up its solar capacity as the business grows.
