The Solution: "Solar First, Diesel as Backup"

The DRC offers world-class solar resources, with average peak sunshine of 5–7 hours and irradiation of 4.5–5.5 kWh/m²/day. TARGET Solar’s system leverages this "natural battery" to provide a stable 150kWh daily load, tailored to the specific needs of mining production and site security.

Smart Load Management:

Peak Production (08:00–18:00): During this 9-hour window (130kWh load), the system prioritizes solar power for heavy equipment like air compressors and drills. The synergy between PV and battery storage ensures steady output even during cloud cover.

Security & Nighttime (18:00–08:00): For the remaining 15 hours (20kWh load for lighting and monitoring), the system draws from the stored energy. The diesel generator serves strictly as a backup for extreme weather or low-battery scenarios.

Core Technical Specifications

We select high-durability components designed for tropical climates and rugged industrial environments:

PV Modules: 55 units of 640W High-Efficiency Monocrystalline modules, chosen for their superior conversion rates and thermal stability in high-temperature regions.

Energy Storage: A 30.7kWh bank using Grade-A LiFePO4 cells (51.2V 100Ah). These batteries offer over 5,000 cycles and are built to operate reliably between -20°C and +60°C.

Hybrid Inverter & EMS: A 15kW hybrid inverter integrated with our proprietary Energy Management System (EMS). It acts as the system's "brain," intelligently balancing solar, storage, and diesel inputs.
